Very fun to play with BUT teaches responsibility harshly… 10+
So it was very fun to play with, it’s like a little digital pet you have to take care of. It beeps when it needs something.SCROLL DOWN IF YOU WANT A SHORT HELPFUL GUIDE ON HOW TO CARE FOR IT 🙂 vvvWHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR/TIPS & TRICKS:- A button is the button on the left. B button is the button in the middle. C button is the button on the right.- If it isn’t taken good care of, the pet will ‘die’ aka it flys back up to its home planet. You can get a new one if you reset but it isn’t the same pet and if your kid is below 9 they will most likely become distraught over it dying- If you feed it too many snacks (the cake) it will die before it turns into a teenager! You can feed it the burger only.- If it isn’t disciplined or played with enough or it’s weight is too high it will grow up to become an unattractive bad mannered alien.- When it needs something, it beeps. You can silence it (although that is the #1 leading cause of tamagotchi deaths) but if your children go to school then you need to take care of it while they are at school, unless you want them to be checking their tamagotchi every 10 minutes or having it beep. If they are in middle school or higher, then they can put it on their backpack and check it between periods/at lunch time.- Discplining it is clicking the button with the little head that’s speaking/yelling. If it beeps even though its hunger and happiness is full, you need to click that button to discipline it. The more you discipline, the less it will beep when not needed which is what we want. You also need to discipline it if it refuses to eat when hungry or play when unhappy.- HERE’S HOW TO PLAY THE GAME: When you click the play button, a number will appear on the left. If you think the number on the right (there is no number on the right YET) will be higher then it, click the B button. If you think the number that the number on the left will be higher then the number that will appear on the right, click the A button.- All the responsibilities might seem a little stressful, right? But as your tamagotchi grows up, it will become less maintenance.- It will eventually die of natural age LUCKILY things you can do to increase its lifespan are: – Keep in tiptop shape. My rule of thumb is even when it doesn’t beep, check every 10-15 minutes. If a heart is gone for HUNGRY or HAPPINESS play with it or feed it! – Play with it. As much as possible. Not a lot but I’d recommend 30 minutes of play total a day. Playing with it also keeps its weight down, and the more it weighs the less it’ll live 🙁 – Only discipline when necessary!

Fun and lots of color options!
I never had a tamagotchi growing up, and totally missed out on the original craze back in the day. With these new re-releases though, I decided to pick one up – and oh boy, it’s simple but I love it so much! I picked out the blue colored Amazon exclusive tamagotchi, purely because it comes with a plastic case, while the others do not. And I’m glad I did, as the case does protect the entire unit, and so far has done a great job of protecting it from getting damaged. I’ve dropped this several times, I accidentally stepped on it, and it got rained on a little bit when attached to my bag – so definitely like the case, even if it’s just a plastic clip-on piece. Now for the tamagotchi itself – there is a bit of a learning curve, but after a day I figured it out. The instructions it came with were vague, so googling all my questions really made a difference. The programming on this is almost identical to the originals, it is fairly simple; definitely recommend to anuone new to taking care of a tamagotchi. Now my only complaint is that the device makes these awful and loud beeping noises every time you press a button, BUT you can turn it off by holding the A and C buttons at the same time. The tamagotchi will still make a sound when it needs something, though. I will eventually get another one in a different colors, as I did have a hard time picking out just one as my favorite!

Reminds me of my childhood!
This Tamagotchi was a huge hit with the kids! They absolutely love taking care of their virtual pet, and it keeps them entertained for hours. It’s surprisingly durable, too—it has been dropped a few times, but it still works perfectly fine, which is a big plus when it comes to kids’ toys. For me, this was such a nostalgic purchase since I had Tamagotchis growing up as well. It brought back so many memories, and I love that I get to share that experience with the next generation. The colors and design are vibrant and fun, making it even more appealing.Overall, this is a great gift for kids (and kids at heart) who enjoy interactive and engaging toys. It’s a classic that never gets old!

Interesting
My daughter was very curious about this kind of game. I told her that I used play with one like that and that it was very challenging to keep it alive. So she ask me for one for Christmas and since then she it’s been playing with it. Great game.

It’s the Tomagotchi your know and love…. The good and the bad
If you had a Tomagotchi before, this will bring back instant memories. Identical with more case options. The good is that it is what you remember and works just the same. Take care of, feed, play a game, clean up, and raise your Tomagotchi. The negatives are still there as well, you can’t control when it actually goes to sleep and if you leave it alone for 5-6 hours it will most likely die. These two things make it fairly difficult for school age kids to play with as some will stay up as late as 10pm and then potentially die while they are at school. Overall it works well, but the screen not having a light does make it difficult to see. The battery lasts a very long time and for the price, I can’t complain too much about what you are getting.

Good quality
Good old tamagotchi. However the speaker is so much louder on this one that others I’ve had. I will probably muffle the speaker soon. But very cute. 🙂

Brought back Childhood Memories
Came in a timely manner and made the perfect gift for my 9 year old niece. She loved the responsibility of taking care of the duck. This brought back so many memories from having one as a child.

Worked for a bit
I got this to put on my water bottle so when it beeped I would drink water. I loved it sm and it was so cute and fun for a bit, then it pooped twice and none of the buttons worked. I didn’t know what to do so I abandoned it for a bit. It fixed itself and the buttons worked again. Then it died and I reset it but it never hatched.

My 8yo doesn’t have time to spend feeling the toy every 20 minutes while she’s at school. The toy for children shouldn’t need this much attention not to die.
